AREA welcomes new HR director

David Colmans

Statewide is pleased to welcome David B. Colmans, our new human resources director, who started in early November. Colmans will assume the HR duties for AREA as well as working with our co-ops on the Electric Cooperatives’ Health Insurance Plan (ECHIP).

Colmans came to AREA from Hyundai Glovis Alabama, where he was the assistant manager of human resources and general affairs. David had been with Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama and Hyundai Glovis since 2003.

He looks forward to working with AREA staff and co-op personnel. He is married with four children, ranging from 25 years to 10 months. He and his family live in Montgomery.
