Co-ops represented at EMA conference

Mike Temple represented our rural electric cooperatives on a panel on storm restoration at the National Emergency Management Association conference in Miami recently. The panel also included representatives of municipals and investor-owned utilities.

Thanks to the cooperative principles, our rural co-ops have extensive experience in deploying crews to storm-ravaged areas; we have a regional and national network to handle these types of storms, Temple said, a strength that many municipals and IOUs don’t share.
